More Adventures in Bolivia

Hey Everybody!
This week was pretty good! We have been finding a lot of new investigators because my companion and I have been tracting in a different part of the area that the missionaries haven't really gone to before. Many people in this area are ready to receive the restored Gospel and want to change their lives. They're actually keeping their commitments, which isn't very easy, so this is basically a miracle. Saturday and Sunday were kind of discouraging because almost all of our appointments fell through, but I know that if we keep working hard, we will be blessed for our efforts. I spoke in Church on Sunday, I was a little nervous, and thought I didn't do very well, but everyone afterwards said that I did very well, which was very encouraging. I've never been one for public speaking, but I'm glad I was able to help others feel the Spirit. I don't have any pictures to send this week, but I have baptisms this Saturday, so I will able to send pictures from that in my next P-Day! I hope you're all doing well, and would love to hear from you!

Love,
Elder May

Just your typical week in Bolivia

Hello Everybody!
This week was pretty good! Tuesday through Friday were normal days of teaching and doing missionary work. Saturday was awesome! One of the investigators of the sister missionaries had her baptism that day, and wanted me to baptize her. Her name is Ybeth, and she was very sweet. It's very clear that she has a grand potential in this church! Sunday was great as well, we had two new investigators at church today. One was Hebert, who I think I talked about last week. He´s a great guy who is super excited for his baptism on December 1st, and loved everything about church. We also had Margarita, an elderly lady that we've been inviting to come to church for a while, come to church for the first time. She liked it as well! Returned missionaries have told me that your mindset kind of changes when you're on a mission, and they were right! I've never been this happy about someone coming to church, haha! Overall, this week was pretty good, and I hope it was good for you as well!

Just Another Week in Bolivia

Hello Everyone!
I hope you're all doing good! My week was pretty good, but also pretty hard, because my investigators aren't keeping their commitments. No one wants to go to church, which is really hard, because the investigators have to go to church if they want to get baptized, so we have many baptismal dates fall through. However, this work isn't without it's miracles. On Wednesday, we met this 19 year old, Herbert, who was very clearly prepared to receive the Gospel. We gave him the Restoration pamphlet, and on Friday, when we had visited him again, he already read it. This is not normal, no one likes to read here, haha! We gave him a Book of Mormon, and on Saturday, he had already started reading that. Sadly, his work ran late, so he couldn't come to church, but he is very excited to get baptized on December 1st. Although there is always opposition in this work, I know that the Lord is preparing people for his missionaries, as well. I hope you're all doing well!
