17 Baptisms!

There were 17 baptisms in his stake on Saturday, February 23.  How exciting!

What a Crazy Week!

This week was pretty good! We have lots of investigators that are progressing, which is great! We had Stake Conference this week, which was pretty cool! We got to here from two General Authorities, and they talked a lot about the importance of having the Spirit with us always. Last week, I mentioned Romans 4:6 as my spiritual thought, but I actually meant to type Romans 6:4, which talks about the importance of baptism and its symbolism. I should have two baptisms this week, so I'm very excited about that! It's always so rewarding to be able to help more people make the first covenant with their Father. The new announcement by President Nelson about missionary communication was a huge surprise! I am so grateful that I now have the opportunity to talk with my family every week, and hear their voices! I hope you all have an amazing week, and are able to find ways to share the Gospel!

6 Months!

Wow, this week marks 6 months in the mission, I can't believe it! Time has been flying by, and I know it's because I've been working hard. My companions have told me that the time goes by fast when you give it your all everyday, and they were right. I've had a pretty busy week! It was full of teaching, finding more people to share with, and meeting with lots of the less active members. We had a conference with Elder Alonso of the Seventy, and he talked a lot about the power of the Spirit and the Book of Mormon in our teaching. I can testify that that book has so much power, I haven't shared many scriptures in these emails, but that's because I find so many amazing scriptures every week, and can never decide what to share. However, I suggest that you guys study the Testimony of Joseph Smith in the Book of Mormon again. That testimony has so much power, I testify that the Spirit will be so strong when you read it. I read it with some investigators this week, and the Spirit was so strong, and I could see them receiving confirmations of the truth. There are so many great scriptures to find, if we just take the time to study. One that I really liked from my personal study was Romans 6:4, which talks about the symbolism of our baptism, and how we're connected to Christ through it. It's very powerful. I have seen so many people being prepared for the Gospel in this area. People everywhere are waiting to receive the glorious message of the Restoration, if you take a minute and look around, you can always find missionary opportunities. I know this Church is true, and that our Savior lives, everyone deserves to have that knowledge, so I challenge you all this week to find someone to share your testimony with. I know the Lord will help you. I hope you all have a great week in all that you do!
