Hey Everyone!

Hi Everybody, 

I know I'm not perfect at sending these things, but I wanted to let you know how things are going down here in Bolivia. Everything is going good! I had a baptism a week and a half ago of the Alvarado Family, the Elders who were in this area before had already baptized part of the Family, and now I got the privilege to help complete the family! We have lots of good investigators in this area right now. Many people are coming to church, and are also bringing their friends and family with them...helping us find more people to teach, and advancing the work of Salvation. I've been studying the New Testament a lot this week, and am really enjoying it.'The Book of Matthew has so many great stories that we can learn from. I really like Matthew 5-7, or The Sermon on the Mount, because there is just so much to learn from only a few chapters. I know these writings were preserved for our time to help us in our lives. The scriptures are the true word of God, and this church is his Kingdom on the Earth. This past weekend was Easter...it's not very big in Bolivia, but it was big for me this year because I was able to think a lot more about the sacrifice our Savior made for us, for me and for all of you. I know he lives and that through him, we will be able to gain our eternal exaltation.

We sent a birthday package to our Elder May, but we felt bad that we couldn't be there to buy him a cake and celebrate with him.  However, he seems to have had a great time during his four(!!!) birthday celebrations in Bolivia.  Happy Birthday, son!

It's Been a While!

Hey Everybody,

I'm so sorry that I haven't been sending out a weekly email, I've been super busy these past few P-Days, and have only had time to talk to my family. These past few weeks have been pretty good, and I've been learning a lot! I've finished the Book of Mormon, and am now starting on the New Testament again. With my companion, Elder Yerén, we've been working very hard, and have lots of investigators with baptismal dates in the coming weeks. One of the scriptures that have really struck me in these past weeks comes from the Book of Mormon. MORONI 10:32- "Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind, and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace, ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God." This scripture has really helped me truly lose myself in the work, and remember why I'm here, to serve God with all I have, so that I might help bring his lost children back unto him. I'm excited for this weekend, both because it's General Conference, and Saturday is my birthday, haha! It will be a nice gift to be able to listen to a true prophet of God on my birthday.
